Last Friday, after doing all the family shopping in town, I wanted a rest before catching the train,so I bought a newspaper and some chocolate and went into the station coffee shop. It was a cheap self-service place with long tables. I put my heavy bag down on the floor, put the newspaper and chocolate on the table to keep a place and went to get a cup of coffee.
When Icamebackwith the coffee, there was someone in the next seat. It was one of those wild-looking boys, with dark glasses and old clothes, and his hair was colored bright red at the front. Not so unusual these days.What did surprise me was that he'd started to eat my chocolate!
Naturally, I was rather uneasy about him, but I didn't want to make more trouble. I just looked down at the front page of the newspaper, tasted my coffee and took a bit of chocolate. The boy looked at me silently. Then he took a second piece of my chocolate.I could hardly believe it. Still I didn't say anything to him.When he took a third piece, I felt more angry than uneasy.I thought, "Well, you can't have the last piece," and I got it.
The boy gave me a strange look, then stood up. As he left he shouted out, "There's something wrong with this woman!" Everybody looked at me, but it was worse when I finished my coffee and ready to leave. My face turned red when I knew I'd made a mistake. It wasn't my chocolate that I had been eating. There was mine, unopened, just under my newspaper.
上周五，在镇上为全家买完东西后，我想在赶火车前休息一会儿，就买了份报纸和一些巧克力，进了车站的一家咖啡店。这是个价格低廉的自助咖啡馆，里面有很多长桌。我把沉重的包放在地上，把报纸和巧克力放在桌子上占座位，然后去端咖啡了。
我端着咖啡回来时，发现有个男孩儿坐在我旁边的座位上了。他看上去像个野孩子，带着墨镜，穿着旧衣服，前面的头发染成了鲜红色。这副打扮在如今已不怎么稀罕了。真正让我吃惊的是，他吃起了我的巧克力！
当然，我很反感他这么做，可又不想惹麻烦。我只是低头看着报纸的头版，边喝咖啡，边拿巧克力吃。男孩默默地看了我一会儿，又拿了一块我的巧克力。简直令我难以置信!不过我仍然什么也没说。当他拿第三块的时候，我已经不只是不高兴了，我感到气愤。我想，“哼，你别想吃最后一块。”于是我拿走了最后一块巧克力。
男孩奇怪地看了我一眼，站了起来。离开的时候他大叫道：“这个女人有毛病!”所有人都看着我。然而我喝完咖啡准备离开的时候，就更尴尬了。我的脸红了，因为意识到是自己弄错了。原来我一直吃的不是自己的巧克力。我的那包巧克力还没拆开呢，就在报纸底下。
